Hello again readers.
We have had fantastic weather this week and it looks like it might be here to stay! That will explain why my local beach, Seaford, is absolutely HEAVING! I've lived here for more than 20 years and I have never seen the beach so busy or so many cars parked everywhere. No, I am not 87 years old, just an observation.
As per usual, I have to do some kind of physical activity to earn my beer, so today my activity involved hitting my fingers really hard with a hammer, trying to put those bloody satellite cable clips into brickwork, so the cable looks neat and tidy. Well, I've got a black index finger nail, lots of damaged bricks and one little clip clinging onto the wall for dear life. Beer earnt.
So, on to the beer. Uiltje Brewing Company are new to me, but what I have seen online of their beers, their designer is fantastic. Really fun designs and this is the best of the cans I have drunk so far. Maybe it is the big kid in me.

The beer.
It pours with a small head, to a pale golden colour. Through my Roman nose it smells a bit flowery. Citrus fruits come through as well: pineapple and orange I think.

It has a good level of fizz and the smell is repeated in the taste, but slightly weaker. Another fruit (might be grapefruit or pineapple - there is a lot of fruit going on!) gets involved and clashes against the slight bitterness of the hops. These flavours clash, but it isn't heavy, in fact, it is what I could call a 'medium' beer.
Putting the word juicy on the can would make me think of a beer like Elvis Juice or one of Chris's favourites: Disco Forklift Truck Mango Pale Ale, but doesn't quite hit the fruity mark.
Overall, a very enjoyable beer, the battle to control your tastebuds is an enjoyable one. and I could drink it all night, an important characteristic. And they've got cartoons on their cans - always worth an extra point.
On a sideways note, Mr Johnson (I know some of you know him as Boris) has said I can see my friends and family again, so this beer gets a Lockdown bonus point.
7/10.
